Thank you from the depths of my heart for the overwhelming warmth, kindness, and love you’ve shown in response to my last piece. I’ve read every single comment (even though I can’t possibly reply to each one) and I’m truly moved by your support, your empathy, and your trust🥹🙏
A special thank-you to those of you who found the courage to share your own experiences of sexual assault. I know how painfully difficult that is, especially in a public space. You are extraordinarily brave, and I hold your stories with the utmost care and respect.
I’m aware that this piece stirred deep emotions and even triggered some of you. That was never my intention lightly, yet I also know it wasn’t in vain. I wrote it straight from my heart and soul❤️ with raw honesty and fidelity to the truth, because I believe words can shift things, because I refuse to stay silent, and because I want to be part of the change we so desperately need. I hope you felt that sincerity.
I hope you know how much this connection with you means to me. Thank you for reading, for engaging thoughtfully (even when you disagree), and for allowing my words into your lives.
I love you, dear readers🫶
Toda raba, thank you, and the biggest hug from the Holy Land 🇮🇱
Good for you for having the strength and courage to speaking up. I was and still am so disturbed about the double standard of the “me too “ movement after the October 7 genocide.
Exactly. I’ve written a lot about it. Those hypocrites don’t stand for JewToo. They are not real women. Real women are the ones who fight their hypocrisy.
I appreciate your intentions here, Scott but you don't need to apologize on behalf of all men. You are not responsible for what happened to Tzlil only the general who assaulted her is and he is the one who owes her an apology. As long as you are a good person, behaving in a morally correct way and treating women with respect you are doing the right thing.
This post triggered an unpleasant experience when I was a young college grad, had moved to Boston from a small, rural town, and was pathetically naive. I was on a ridiculously crammed subway train, heading out to a job interview. The train was so crowded that I was unable to turn around and face the perv creep who took advantage of the situation and dry humped my backside.
I was so disgusted that I jumped out at the next stop, blew off the interview and got on another train back to my apartment.
I’m sorry you experienced this. I’m even sorrier for what female soldiers under the general’s command may be experiencing. What he did says more about his miserable existence than about you—you suffered only a hopefully temporary upset, whereas he is likely incapable of relating in a mature and satisfying way to any woman.
Some men never grow up. But this idiot General knew better- he was obviously the type of creep that gets off on exercising power over women. It is too bad that the social and a diplomatic setting precluded a knee to the balls.
What you endured was not just an abuse of rank—it was an abuse of humanity. No title, no uniform, no stack of medals can excuse a man who chooses power over decency. And yet, in the middle of that violation, you’ve managed to keep hold of a truth many lose sight of: that one man’s corruption does not define the character of all men.
Your ability to separate the predator from the principled, the thug from the genuine, says something profound about your clarity and resilience. It takes discernment to recognize that real manhood is measured not by authority but by restraint, integrity, and the ability to honor the dignity of another human being. You have refused to let someone else’s dishonor distort your worldview—and that, in itself, is a kind of victory.
I’m sorry for what you were forced to face. And I admire your refusal to let his behavior be the lens through which you see the rest of us. It speaks to a strength not acquired but inherent. Kol Hakovod.
While we should all be shocked by your story, unfortunately, I’m not. This behavior is all too common no matter what part of the world you are from. Respect is a learned trait and the men who lack that skill are a byproduct of bad parenting. I’m very sorry you had to have that experience. Nobody deserves that.
I am a psychotherapist in Southern Oregon, USA for many years. Though the official statistics don’t agree with what you said about “every woman,” my clinical experience agrees with you. I don’t believe I have ever worked with a woman who has not been a victim of sexual consent violations. Multiple.
Thank you for your power, clarity, and compassion.
Best thing you can take away from that incident is a lesson learned: there are people that will take advantage of a situation when they're well aware that they can get away with it. In all things big and small.
I wish you had walked up with a smile and kicked him straight in the bollocks. As you suggest, there are idiots everywhere but most men are not like that.

On behalf of our gender, my sincerest apologies. That’s just not a man. Let alone a gentleman.
🫶🙏Thank you for your kindness Scott!

I am so fortunate that I married a girl just like you. She is my rock 👍👍❤️❤️

Awful 😞 Thank you for sharing that. I’m sure God will punish this disgusting creep. Be strong 🫶

Thanks for speaking out with clear calm conviction on this very negative event. Staying silent solves nothing, & only encourages such cowards.

Shalom Tzlil,
I am joining Scott in his "on behalf of our gender, my sincerest apologies."
I am trying to find your thesis on the potential relationship and influence between terrorism and the Metaverse. Where can I find it?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you🫶 and it’s still in the making ☺️
תודה שחילקת איתנו את הסיפור הזה. ועוד יותר תודה שאת דוגמה אישית של חוזק וחוסן נפשי.
